Owning a small business is hard.
It becomes even harder when the people in power impose tariffs, send ICE to our communities, and slash social services to provide huge tax breaks for wealthy corporations and the top 1%. The election in November is our opportunity to change who is making decisions in Washington DC and here in Minnesota. But, with the attacks on our democracy we’re witnessing, we will need to be ready to ensure that the voice of the people prevails on Election Day and afterwards that those who are elected are allowed to take their seats.

Know Where You Stand.
You already know what this year has done to your business. Costs up, customers scared to come out, months of uncertainty nobody in power wanted to hear about. When businesses on Lake Street shut their doors during the ICE occupation, the people who could have helped denied it was happening. This takes about ten minutes. Draw your own line in the sand, tell us what you've lived through, and say publicly that you're not okay with where things stand.

The businesses that stayed open through the hardest years are the same ones that hire your neighbors, sponsor the team, and keep the lights on down the street.
