Today, ICE murdered a Minneapolis woman as she bravely stood witness to their assault on her immigrant neighbors. This did not happen in isolation. For weeks, the MAGA regime has been escalating violence against immigrant Minnesotans, spreading lies about our communities, and unleashing a masked militia into our neighborhoods. This crisis is tearing families apart, endangering our freedoms, and threatening our future.
Our hearts are with the family and loved ones of the woman whose life was taken today. The family is grieving an irreplaceable loss, and they deserve space, dignity, and the full support of our community. No family should ever have to experience the pain of losing someone to political violence. We honor her courage, and we stand with the people who loved her as they navigate this devastating moment.
ICE and DHS are operating as masked militia, armed, and it’s clear they are willing to take lives. Their presence is a direct threat to the safety, dignity, and freedom of every Minnesotan, regardless of where we were born. We are living through an organized campaign of abductions, harassment, and terror carried out to consolidate power and money for a handful of political actors. Our neighbors are being disappeared. Now, a woman has been killed for standing up for her community.
We are calling for immediate action. The ICE agents responsible for this killing must be arrested and prosecuted. ICE must be removed from our communities before they take more lives. Federal escalation in the Twin Cities must stop now so families can grieve and communities can protect one another without armed agents flooding our streets.
We cannot ignore that immigrants are being persecuted by both federal forces and individuals in their own beloved communities. This is a crisis of political violence, and leadership must meet it with clarity and courage. Our focus is people, not property. There is no object on earth worth more than a human life.
We demand the arrest of the agents responsible, and the removal of ICE from our neighborhoods. Our families deserve freedom. Our neighbors deserve dignity. And we will not allow a regime of bullies for billionaires to decide whose lives are expendable.
