Minneapolis Data Centers Public Comment and Hearing

On October 13th, the city of Minneapolis will be hosting a public hearing with public comment to hear from Minneapolis residents about data centers and their future in our city. Unidos MN leaders are showing up to make our demands clear: we need elected officials to vote to keep Minneapolis safe from data centers.

Submit your public response online before you go by following the link below. You can copy and pase the demands directly into the comments section, but feel free to make the message your own and mention why you care about this.

Then, join us on October 13th for the meeting at the Public Service Center.

Community demands:

- Data centers must agree to a Community Benefits Agreement.

- Data centers must protect our city from unwanted surveillance, participate in Minneapolis' Clean Energy Transition, and invest in local jobs for our city.

-Data centers and the City of Minneapolis must invest all land tax revenue from these location into community owned clean energy infrastructure such as solar, wind, battery storage, and smart meters.

-Data centers must run on clean energy and not consume water that residence rely on.

-Data centers must connect to a residential thermal energy heat transer systems.
