On Wednesday morning, March 27th, at 10 a.m., leaders from organizations representing tens of thousands of Minnesotans will come together at the State Capitol with legislative authors to highlight HF 4509, a bill that will help fund the Rise Up Center, a regional opportunity and climate resilience hub where multiracial, low-income, working families can access pre-apprenticeships, jobs, and employment readiness training in the fields of green energy, sustainable construction, service, and food systems.
The Rise Up Center will be capable of training 3,000 Minnesotans annually, creating pathways for families to access good union jobs that will foster economic prosperity in the new green economy. HF 4509 will be heard in the House Workforce Committee on Wednesday at 8:30 a.m.
