Minneapolis Adult Education offers free English Language Learning (ELL) classes for beginner, intermediate, and advanced learners. Participants must be at least 18 years old to enroll.

Academic instruction is provided in:

General Educational Development (GED) and college preparation.

The English Language Learners (ELL) program teaches English grammar and syntax through everyday experiences such as grocery shopping or public transportation. The program offers four separate levels of instruction, including a unique pre-literacy level for students who are not literate in their native languages.

Classes are offered four weekly mornings, Monday through Thursday, from 9:30-11:30 am.
Registration for classes is at 9 am, Monday through Thursday.
