Funding the Equitable Workforce of the Future is at Stake

For the first time, we are bridging the gap between needed clean energy infrastructure and the workers available to build it. The Rise Up Center is vital to achieving the green future we deserve by providing a multiracial workforce with better conditions, fair wages and benefits brought by a renewable energy future.

A well-trained BIPOC workforce deeply connected to our communities is AN ESSENTIAL piece of the vibrant and sustainable vision we are building for Minnesota. The Rise Up Center is scheduled to train approximately 3,000 workers annually in the fields of green energy, sustainable construction, and food systems within a unionized pathway.

Now it is time to take action, to support the Rise Up Center and create the good jobs needed for an equitable transition and to stop climate change. Your legislators must hear from YOU right now, and champion the Rise Up Center in Minnesota.

We urge you to take action in two ways:

  1. Use this form to send a letter to Governor Walz  to support the Rise Up Center (HF4212 and SF4125).

  2. Pick a shift and join us at the Capitol on Monday, March 18 to speak directly to your Representative during one of the following shifts

    • 10:30 am to 1:00 pm

    • 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Unidos we build the future!
