On October 19, the Minneapolis City Council authorized the creation of a new, dedicated fund - $10 million to begin implementing the Minneapolis Climate Equity Plan. How that funding gets used moving forward will be decided in the budget process this fall.

While the city has committed to significantly reduce greenhouse gas pollution over the next 15 years, the proposed budget does not yet commit to a program or pilot that provides full clean energy transition block by block, neighborhood by neighborhood.
